Fantasy A to Z

Abstruse badgers carefully delouse
Eel-worms from grateful hippopotamuses.

Iridescent jabberer karaoke lingers monthly
Nauseating odious patrons.

Quaint retreating slimy tapeworms
Undulate various ways.

Xiphias yabbered, “Zyzzyvas!”

Today’s NaPoWriMo poem was inspired by an archived challenge from imaginary garden with real toads. I was challenged  to create a poem only using words in order from A to Z. Within the poem I used some obscure words to cover various letters.

Image: “Neapolitan Song” by Joseph Stella

Here are the words and their definitions:

Abstrusedifficult to understand; obscure
Jabberer: to talk or utter rapidly, indistinctly, incoherently, or nonsensically
Undulate: to move with a sinuous or wavelike motion
Xiphias: genus of swordfish
Yabbered: (Austrailian) to chatter, jabber
Zyzzyvasgenus of tropical American weevil
