Just a quick hello!
I was feeling a bit rough yesterday so I give you two short poems: one about opal, the other about the unnoticed leaf.
The first one, “October Opal,” grew out of a prompt to write an acrostic haiku from Mindlovemisery.
October opal
Layered in basil and lies
Deflects your evil eyes
Nice and happy, wasn’t it? š The second poem, “Maple Leaf,” was inspired by a poem written by Bronislaw Maj called “A Leaf.” I took the poem and ran it through Language is a Virus poetry generator:
The last maple leaf

such strong feeling found in these short gems

I liked both of your poems. Interesting about the poetry generator, I’d never heard of it before. Oh, Dia de los Muertos is a favorite of mine! š

Language is a Virus is an awesome resource š As far as los Muertos, I have been fascinated with the culture surrounding those who have left this life

Oh yes, I love all the artwork that is created for the celebration. It is a wonderful tradition to honor those friends and family that have passed on. …Have you tried Poetweet? If you use Twitter, this site will grab some of your tweets and make a poem. It is strange, but fun to see how it turns out.
