My Alice in Wonderland-coated bag
Books, tablet, pencils and journal within
Headphones and wallet vanish
It is somewhere inside

Rabbit and Mouse in between

Upon a neon pink throne

Treasure-stuffed
My Alice in Wonderland-coated bag
In hallways or long car ride, it doesn’t matter
Smells of books, not cheap cologne

Inspired by today’s writing prompt by Quickly But Don’t Stress Out:

1) Your line is line #1 of a four-line poem. Write the rest. No need to get finicky, you can revise later. Just write three lines more.

2) That same line is line #4 of a different four-line poem. Write the rest. Include two words you used in the first poem. (not just articles or conjunctions–real words, please)

3) Your line is #2 this time. Write lines 1, 3, 4. Include two words that rhyme with words in the second piece. (they don’t have to rhyme with one another or with anything in this set. It’s okay, though, if they do)

4) Your line is line #3. Borrow some element from each of the preceeding quatrains.

  1. Heh. I carry a satchel bag. It usually has my computer, several notebooks and several books. Oh and pens. So is the Alice in Wonderland bag literal, or is it a rabbit hole that things disappear down? Ha. My wife found a small hole in the bottom of hers and when she got to looking several missing things had slipped through into the lining. Alice in wonderland for sure.

    1. Actually it’s a canvas bag with the tea party with Mad Hatter printed on the outside. Got it from fiance this past Christmas. Also got lithograph t-shirt with whole book of Siddhartha covering the shirt. The words on the front are fashioned into Buddha’s image 🙂
