I Know Where Magic Lives

“And above all, watch with glittering eyes the whole world around you because the greatest secrets are always hidden in the most unlikely places.”
― Roald Dahl

I know where magic lives
Look now! it’s right here

Search childishly
Every bush and swamp
I once found it
Braided branches, while it snowed petals

Near nightfall on a mountain
In a puddle of water
Drinking tea, ready for bed
In a azure bird perched on a fence

Come join me
In wild abandon
It’s right here

  1. I couldn’t agree more! Magic is right there, along with beauty and joy and wonder. It never disappears.
