Five for National Haiku Poetry Day

Green smudge printed hand
Paint running wet in the rain
Whorl of lines left

Sleeping Sand Pharoh
Exists defying sun, surf, toes
For sale on high tide

Earthen bowl waits use
Harbor boats haul slimy gold
Fresh fish soup de jour

Black jaw holds stone teeth
Roof water colored sunburn
Sandy beach towel

Bachelor party
Vegan cake is compromise
Love of flesh denied

For National Haiku Poetry Day, I used Random Image Prompts as inspiration for my five haiku. Linked to imaginary garden with real toads and NaPoWriMo

  9. I really enjoy the imagery these…especially the earthen bowl, pharoh and stone teeth. Using images as a jumping place is a great way to inspire haiku. Thank you for joining the challenge today! 🙂
